Easy Easter Activities to try at Home with Your Children!

Are you looking for some fun and free Easter activities to keep your kids entertained while at home for the easter holidays? Look no further! Here is a list of ideas for exciting Easter activities that will keep your little ones busy and engaged for hours!

Easter Egg Hunt

Before the Easter Egg Hunt begins, make sure to decorate the eggs. You can use natural dye or food colouring to make them more fun. Once the eggs are ready, hide them in different locations around your house or garden. You can also add clues or riddles to make it more challenging for older children. Once all the eggs are found, have the kids count them to see who found the most.

Bunny Statues

A twist on an old classic musical statues, this one is best done with a bigger set of friends and family. Begin by playing some fun and bouncy music. Encourage your children to hop around like bunnies while the music plays. When the music stops, they should freeze in place. The last one to freeze is out. Play until there is only one child left.

Egg and Spoon Race

An old sports day classic! Give each child an egg and a spoon. Set up a course with a starting point and a finish line. Have them race to the finish line without dropping the egg. You can also add obstacles to make it more challenging. The first child to cross the finish line with their egg still on the spoon wins. To make it more fun the eggs could be decorated first or you could even do this with chocolate eggs that can be eaten at the end of the race!

Easter Bingo

Create bingo cards with Easter-related items such as bunnies, eggs, and flowers. Play a game of bingo as a family by calling out the items on the card. You can also add prizes for the winners, such as Easter eggs or small toys.

Easter Charades

Write Easter-related words or phrases on slips of paper and put them in a hat. Take turns drawing a slip of paper and acting out the word or phrase without speaking. The other players have to guess what the word or phrase is. You can also make it a team game by dividing the players into two teams and keeping score.

Bake some Easter-themed treats together

Easter is often associated with indulging and enjoying a sweet chocolate treat. So, it’s a great time to get into the kitchen and bake with your kids!

For young children, the old classic Shredded Wheat or Corn Flake nests are an excellent choice. They’re so simple to make don’t require any baking, so can be done with very young children. If your children are older or you want more of a challenge then you could try baking a carrot cake with easter bunny cake toppers or a chocolate cake covered in Mini eggs!

Easter can be a wonderful time for children to have fun and get creative without spending a lot of money. We hope you have fun completing some of these activities and we wish you a great Easter!
